Jacksonville, Florida based artist Christina Foard has a BFA in painting and art history. As well as creating her colourful large scale oils of aerial landscapes, figurative works, and abstracts, Foard is a Program Manager for Arts in Medicine at Shands Jacksonville Medical Centre, an interdisciplinary healing arts program serving patients, staff and visitors at their Trauma One Hospital.
About her work, Foard says, “painting has become my tool to reframe thoughts and rewrite memories. I am continually fascinated by the synchronous events in a lifetime: relationships, influences and decisions. My work varies in iconography but is anchored in living in this moment as I seek to move past thought and into a flow of intuitive “knowing” and blind trust. Painting has ultimately become my vehicle to express a spiritual essence in everyday scenes.”
