Design Festa Vol. 30 – Tokyo, Japan

Design Festa Vol. 30 - Oct. 24-25, 2009

This weekend I had the opportunity to attend and participate in Tokyo’s Design Festa – a massive bi-annual art event held by  Harajuku’s Design Festa Gallery.  The event is open to all artists, artisans, performers, and other creative types who want to exhibit their work.

Running since 1994, the organizers of Design Festa call the event two days of “artistic chaos” with 8500 artists from 70 countries occupying over 2600 booths as well as indoor and outdoor stages. The experience was”chaotic” to say the least as well as mind boggling, awe inspiring, and just downright strange at times.
